Relakksed agian
As a Relakks fanboy I was not happy Relakks stopped working with Windows Vista SP1. I found some simple steps to fix the problem. We can all Relakks now.
- Click Start>All Programs>Accessories and right-click “Command Prompt” and start as “Administrator”.
- Netcfg -u MS_L2TP
- Netcfg -u MS_PPTP
- Netcfg -l c:\windows\inf\netrast.inf -c p -i MS_PPTP
- Netcfg -l c:\windows\inf\netrast.inf -c p -i MS_L2TP
- Close Command prompt.
- Click Start menu and then Connect To.
- Click on “Set up a connection or network”.
- Choose “Connect to a workplace” and then click Next.
- Choose “Use my Internet connection (VPN)”.
- Type “pptp.relakks.com” in the “Internet address” field.
- Type “Relakks” in the “Destination name” field.
- Check the alternative “Allow other people to use this connection” if you want your service to be available for any user using this computer. Click Next.
- Fill in your username and password. NOTE! Leave the “Domain” field empty.
- Click Connect to finish the installation and to test your connection.
- You will no get a notification saying “You are connected”. Click Close. You are now connected to the service.
- You will see a dialogue box saying “Select a location for the ‘Relakks’ network”. Choose “Public location” for highest security settings. Then click Close.
In the Command prompt, type the following commands one by one and
press Enter after each one.
You are Relakksed again.

Buy your own Relakks service called SecureIX
The Relakks like service called SecureIX is for sale:
You will need one very basic Dual P4 server per 128-256 premium customers.
You will need about 75 mbits avg. per 256 premium customers.
Income potential is limitless.
Nearly 200,000 people have visited our site and signed up for some level of service.
It seems to me that Relakks is doing better than SecureIX even when their payment system is down again now. Perhaps the problem is that SecureIX provides Free PPTP VPN accounts for users and Relakks doesn’t. This probably means that Relakks has far less customers but because they all are paying customers the Relakks business-model seems more solid to me. Don’t let this keep you from buying SecureIX. You can always dump the free accounts.

I am not Relakksed
There where some problems connecting to the super service Relakks lately. Today they disabled my account because they where unable to get the automatic payment to work. When I tried to pay them I got “Our payment methods are being looked over, it is therefore impossible to pay for the service. We apologize for any inconvenience“. Why disable users if you have problems with the payment system. This is not a good user experience. What harm will it do to keep users subscribed till you have your shit together. I hope someone at Relakks sees this post on twitter or friendfeed and changes some internal policies to serve the customers better. I now get the impression that Relakks has some financial problems.
