Pownce
I never saw Pencow… Owncep… Pownce before. It seems they just at random choose the name. The .com name was free because nobody wanted it before 2007-06-16 
They now have an API released. Read more on the Scobelizer Blog.

The HD Web test from Akamai
Akamai, which knows it is treading close to competing with its own customers, is launching a HD video demo portal with their blessing, offering about three hours of total content from providers including Apple, CBS, BudTV, NBA, BBC, and MTV, and is promising to shut the whole site down after two weeks. A church in Västerås Sweden is asking parishioners to donate enough pieces of white Lego to create a life-size statue of Jesus. A local priest is leading the drive to construct a white plastic Jesus in the central Swedish town. Link
